Wes Cross, co-founder of Cross Armory, will be a featured panelist at the 2018 California Gun Laws Convention.
Hosted by the San Diego Gun Owners (SDCGO) PAC, Cross will discuss laws and regulations regarding the AR-15, California compliance and other safeguards. The event is from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Surfside Race Place, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar.
“In our conversations with gun owners its clear that everyone who calls or emails wants to be sure they comply with the law, but most aren’t clear about how they need to change their rifle to do that,“ Cross said.
Cross will demonstrate the various compliant options available to AR-15 owners. These will include Cross Armory’s solution as well as those of competitors and “featureless” options. He will showcase five rifles modified in different configurations for display to the audience showing compliance and functionality.
The demonstrations will include Cross Armory’s AR-15 fixed mag solution (the SAFE MAG, SAFE MAG 2, QUICK PINS and FLOP STOP) on two AR-15 rifles. Other demonstrations will feature the fixed mag solution employing a button with a hook, a featureless AR-15 with the STOCK LOCK, a permanently fixed mag side-loading option and a bullet button for registered weapons.
Cross added, “We’re convinced there is a complaint solution that will work for every AR owner. We hope that this presentation will help to educate the market so that everyone can find what works best for them.”
Cross Armory will also debut Double Stack, a new, game-changing magazine accessory with a live demonstration. This new product will be available for AR-15 platforms as well as the leading pistol brands.
“We’ve had great fun developing products in response to new AR laws. As we talked with gun stores and consumers we recognized that the market welcomes innovative, precision engineered products. We expect that Double Stack will be attractive to a national audience,” said Richard Berwick, President of Cross Armory.
The convention will feature numerous other guest speakers including a separate panel featuring several prominent gun-rights attorneys addressing the legal hurdles facing California gun owners. Joining Cross on his panel will be Michael Schwartz, executive director of the SDCGO, Craig DeLuz of the Firearms Policy Coalition and Lara Smith of the Liberal Gun Club. John Dillon of Gatzke Dillon and Ballance in Carlsbad; Daniel Modafferi of Meyers Fozi & Dwork in Carlsbad; Jason Davis, The Davis Law Firm of Mission Viejo; and Allen Chandler of Firearms Legal Protection of Dallas, are the legal panelists.
