R&D & Development

To make the P365 mag catch we started by studying every mag release we could find — big manufacturers, boutique makers, and one-off custom shops alike. We cataloged features we liked, rejected features that failed in the field, and focused on what real users actually need: corrosion resistance, repeatable feel, simple install, and precise tuning.

From that audit we designed a single-piece 316 stainless body to remove the OEM plastic clip failure mode. Dozens of prototypes followed: different button geometries, groove patterns, set-screw positions, and spring rates. We evaluated finishes and coatings for durability and aesthetics, and tested each iteration through hundreds of bench cycles and live-fire drills with pro shooters and everyday carriers. Field testers ran extended carry, sweat exposure, and repeated reload drills to validate real-world performance.

After multiple prototype rounds and more than a year of R&D, we finalized the design: a compact, low-profile extended button with deep CNC groove slots, a robust 316 stainless body, and an adjustable M1.6 set-screw system that lets you tune release force to your preference. The kit ships complete with the spring, set screw, and L-hex tool so you can install and fine-tune it in minutes. We stand behind the engineering with a Lifetime limited warranty.
