California’s latest action against the gun industry has left many furious, especially when it concerns ammunition.
For those not up to date, purchasing ammo includes transfers of ammunition between buyer and seller now need to be “face to face.” Lawful gun owners will eventually need to undergo a background check to purchase ammunition.
In addition, internet purchases are much more difficult as fees are added to each purchase. Those stores in California must have a Federal Firearms License (FFL) to be allowed to sell ammo from outside the state.
Stores without a Federal Firearms License cannot sell ammo due to the state having fumbled and dragged its feet in getting the licensing system up and running.
However, as the San Diego County Gun Owners reports, there is at least one outfit running a great operation.
Rifle, shotgun and defensive handgun ammunition purchases from BulkAmmo.com have shown to be an easy process to use. They have a large selection available online and ordering is easy. The ammunition shows up in about a week.
SDCGO Board member Joe Drammissi conducted an experiment to see how well, or if at all, Bulk Ammo would work.
“When I got to the shipping part of the checkout process I saw the instructions related to California. There were two groups of FFL’s to choose from. One group was approved by BulkAmmo.com (they’d done business with them) while those in the other group were available to customers but had not yet worked with BulkAmmo.com.
I chose to have my shipment sent to Beebe Family Arms & Munitions in Fallbrook. I chose Beebe because of their low processing fee and because I recognized them as members and supporters of SDCGO.”
